CLOWNS WE FEAR AND LOVE

It (2017)/Pennywise The Dancing Clown
It is an ancient alien/eldritch monster and the title character and the main antagonist of the 1986 novel by the same name.
In the newest iteration of the character, it is implied that It actually needs its prey to fear it to be able to kill and eat them while previous versions just needed it to make the meat taste better. When confronting Beverly, It left her alive but paralyzed because she did not fear It. It is also implied that it loses some of its power when it cannot frighten its victims as the Loser's club actually manage to physically and brutally beat it into a corner despite only being children and It having previously demonstrated superhuman strength was unable to overpower them. Also unlike Its previous adaption, It is barely able to pass for human or even act human when in its Pennywise form as while trying to lure Georgie, he laughs with him at first before suddenly stopping and staring blankly and drooling with barely contained hunger, which unnerved Georgie enough that he was about to leave before It quickly reminded him about the Boat and managed to snatch him.

Rudy, one of the main Klowns. He was the first to detect Mike and Debbie's presence at the Klowns' tent and went on a store raid to collect items, terrifying Mr. Marty the store owner.

Spikey, one of the most commonly-seen Klowns. He in 1 scene did a puppet show for someone before killing him. Spikey also can make a balloon hound that acts like a prison hound.

Slim, one of the main Klowns. He uses the Tyrannosaur shadow puppet to kill hundreds of people, pretends to drive a motorcycle to push a driver in a car off a cliff, jumps up an extremely tall height, and kidnapped Debbie inside a yellow balloon.

Poltergeist (1982)/Clown Doll
The Clown Doll is a minor antagonist in the 1982 horror film Poltergeist and its 2015 remake of the same name. However, it is more accurately described as an aspect of either the Beast or the other vengeful ghosts - its main purpose was to act as a distraction so that the other ghosts could abduct Carol Anne but it is remembered as being one of the more frightening entities in the film (in part due to many people fearing clowns).

Batman (1989)/Joker
The Joker, true name Jack Napier, is the main antagonist of Tim Burton's 1989 Academy Award winning superhero film Batman. He is a criminal supervillain and the archenemy of Batman, as well as his parent's murderer.
He was portrayed by Jack Nicholson. Napier was born in Brooklyn and came to live in Gotham. In his school years, Jack proved himself to be emotionally unstable, but highly intelligent, showing aptitude in art, science, and chemistry. He also turned to a life of violent crime. When he was fifteen, Jack was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon. Years later, as a young man at the age of 26, he and his partner in crime mugged Bruce Wayne's parents, Dr. Thomas Wayne and his wife Martha, while they were walking home from the movies. When Thomas interceded to protect his family, Napier stepped from the shadows and shot both him and Martha in cold-blooded murder.

Spawn (1997)/Violator
The Violator is the demonic form of the Clown and Spawn's intended mentor on Earth and one of the famous Phlebiac Brothers. Spawn and the Violator often clash due to the Clown's persistent taunting of Spawn.
The Violator is in charge of personally mentoring all of the new Hellspawn and clashes with Medieval Spawn as well. The Violator personally feels that humans are unworthy of the Hellspawn position, and often makes this point clear. He usually sees Spawn more as a rival than a threat as the two have fought on many occasions. He will often motivate Spawn or take advantage of his anger.

Zombieland (2009)/Clown Zombie
Introduced during the climax of the film, the psychotic zombie clown confronts Columbus during his attempt to rescue Wichita and Little Rock. This zombie, in particular, serves as a test of Colombus' character, as it is a combination of his foremost fear and his underlying phobia. At this point in the film, Colombus is able to overcome his fears and successfully slays the Clown Zombie by smashing its head with a mallet, making sure to initiate the Double Tap rule in the process.

The Simpsons (1989-)/Krusty The Clown
Sir Herschel Shmoikel Pinchas Yerucham Krustofsky, formerly known as Rory B. Bellows, better known by his stage name Krusty the Clown, is the cynical, burnt-out, addiction-riddled smoking clown host of Bart, Lisa and Maggie's favorite TV show The Krusty the Clown Show. He is a recurring character in The Simpsons and has a supporting role in The Simpsons Movie.

American Horror Story (2011-)/Twisty The Clown
Twisty is a disgraced clown who uses increasingly twisted methods to regain his position as an entertainer of children. He is a character in American Horror Story portrayed by John Carroll Lynch. He wears a makeshift prosthetic mask nearly as terrifying as the disfigured face beneath. Twisty was literally dropped on his head as a baby, resulting in minor mental disability. He left Jupiter in 1943 to work as a clown with Rusty Westchester's Traveling Carnival. Jealous of his popularity, the carnival freaks (led by two cruel dwarfs) spread a lie that he was molesting children. He was no longer able to find work as a clown (though this didn't stop him from wearing the costume and makeup) and he returned to Jupiter to build novelties from garbage scrap. Upon his return to Jupiter, he found that his alcoholic mother had died. Efforts to sell his "whirligigs" to the local toy store were met first with disinterest and then fear at his crazed desperation and rage against the rumors of his past. Despondent, he blew off his lower jaw with a shotgun in an attempted suicide. To cover up his horrible facial disfigurement, he began wearing a wide-grinned prosthetic mask. He then decided, in his own "special" way, to make the children love him again by keeping them "safe" from their parents.

Halloween (1978)/Young Michael Myers
Michael Audrey Myers is the central character and the main antagonist of the Halloween franchise. As a six-year-old child, Michael was admitted into a psychiatric hospital for murdering his older sister, Judith Myers. On October 31, 1963, Michael committed his first act of murder. His parents were away, and he was at home with his sister Judith who was supposed to be babysitting him but cared more about spending an intimate moment with her boyfriend, Danny. After Danny left, Michael, dressed in a clown costume, went into the kitchen, picked up a kitchen knife, walked up the steps and stabbed Judith to death. He then quietly walked back downstairs and into the front yard where he waited for his parents and the police to arrest him.
